When the excellently historical drama finds its way to Netflix, Outlander is one of the most successful TV programmes that audiences adore following. The sentimental and influential denouement of the fifth season left followers hoping that the queue for Outlander season 6 wouldn’t experience like an everlasting. Despite years of ambiguity, Outlander season 6 has a release date. Regrettably, for Outlander fans who have been waiting for Outlander season 6, the wait seems much longer due to the covid outbreak. However, the show will definitely return for a sixth season. Here’s all we know about the season so far. Starz verified on May 9, 2018, that the show would be continued for two more seasons (season 5 and season 6).

Outlander Season 6 Release Date

Production has come to an end, which indicates we’re a bit ahead of seeing those brand spanking new series. The earliest date we’ve been told is early 2022, so there’s plenty of time for a rewatch before then.

Outlander Season 6 Cast

All four important characters, namely Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall Fraser, Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser, Richard Rankin as Roger Wakefield, and Sophie Skelton as Brianna Randall, are set to announce. Duncan Lacroix, who played Jamie’s godfather Murtagh, will not return because the character was killed in season five. Tom Christie, Allan Christie, and Malva Christie will be played by the three remarkable actors Mark Lewis Jones, Alexander Vlahos, and Jessica Reynolds who have all agreed to feature in the sixth season, so there will be some fresh people.

Outlander Season 6 Plot

Outlander season 6 has no actual summary, but fans and Netflix members have a solid notion of where the storyline might go, notably if they’ve perused the famous book that the Starz show is based on. Season 6 of Outlander would be centred on Diana Gabaldon’s sixth novel, ‘A Breath of Snow and Ashes.’ However, as we’ve experienced the most recent season, this doesn’t guarantee that future episodes will strictly adhere to the subject matter. Ronald Moore, the executive producer, spoke with EW about this in greater depth: “Every year, we take a new strategy.  Should we make it a season-long book? That’s what we’ve done thus far. However, we’ve discussed separating books as well as combining them. We want to be allowed to pick and choose in the writers’ room, doing whatever feels right that year.” Murtagh’s farewell, Roger’s hanging, and Brianna’s execution of Stephen Bonnet, who she shot out of mercy knowing that drowning was his greatest fear, all contributed to the season’s detailed and suspenseful nature of the ending of season 5.  Must Check: Why Women Kill Season 3: Is it renewed, canceled at Paramount+? The season five finale might provide us with a hint about where events could head in future episodes, and we’re curious. Jamie’s family isn’t the only time travellers, according to a season five twist. “It seems like the universe is expanding a little…” Heughan added.  It will all certainly be explored in greater depth in Outlander season 6, and we aren’t sure what will happen to Outlander after that.
