Simon Maxwell Helberg was born on the 9th of December 1980 and was raised in Los Angeles, California, by parents Sandy Helberg and Harriet Helberg  (née Birnbaum). His dad was an actor while Simon’s mother was a casting director, so he followed in the footsteps of his parents by becoming an actor. Helberg grew up with a brother named Mason.
