Globally the movie was released on November 23, 2016, in the United States of America. Later, it was released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 7, 2017, by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment again in the US. Finally, the digital release happened on February 21, 2017. To date, fans are waiting for the second part of this movie. There had been rumours that the adventures of Mona are coming back to theatres anytime soon. However, no official communication regarding the same has been made by the Disney animation studios yet.
Is Moana 2 Cancelled?
The world has been in poor health since last year. The pandemic has affected all sectors of the economy, including the entertainment industry. The story of the initial film revolved around Moana as the main character after she returns to her hometown after an adventurous journey. The movie is about a strong-willed girl, chosen by the ocean to bring together the transcendental relic with the goddess Te Fiti. The movie begins when a bright light strikes her Island, and she is all set to look after Maui, a legendary demigod. She is after her expecting that she would return the relic to Te Fiti and ultimately will save her people. The movie ended with Moana’s winning return after her Epic adventure. During her adventure, Mona meets Maui, a one-time powerful deity who guides her and becomes her master pathfinder and goes on an action pack journey across the open sea. During her journey, she fought giant monsters and impossible obstacles. Moana also completes the quest of her ancestors and discovers her own identity. The second movie is expected to start right from the climax of the first movie. If that happens, we would see the arrival of Maui, which is going to be legendary. Now all the fans are waiting patiently for the Disney animated film to return and tell its fans all the upcoming adventures.
