Kingdom Season 3 Renewal
The Korean Zombie show hasn’t been renewed for a season 3. But, there is nothing to worry about. This is because the show has received massive ratings with 8.4/10 on IMDB. Moreover, the story of Kingdom seems pretty incomplete in season 2. So, season 3 seems pretty mandatory to complete the story base. Showing that there are lots of more ideas to be unveiled in the upcoming seasons, the screenwriter of the show i.e. Kim Eun-hee stated the following: “there’s so much more to tell and if viewers allow, I would love to see it develop even up to season 10.” Besides this, now that the special bonus episode has been released on Netflix, we are sure that Netflix will very soon be announcing a statement regarding the renewal of the show for a season 3. Release Date
Since the hit show hasn’t been renewed yet, it’s difficult to predict an exact release date. However, one thing is for sure, that season 3 will start filming in a while as the special episode, Kingdom: Ashin of the North, is out now. This is because the director of the korean series, Kim Sung Hoon, said the following recently, ” the “Kingdom: Ashin of the North [the upcoming special episode] will be a stepping stone to go beyond Kingdom 3.” Besides this, we think season 3 will be available to watch latest by mid 2022.
Plot
Kingdom’s plot is going to get even more exciting in season 3. This is because there are chances of another outbreak in Korea and Prince Chang will have to figure out how to bring it under control. The zombies are going to multiply at an even greater rate now. Moreover, since the plant seller was caught in season 2, we wonder how the plague will spread this time. In season 3, we might even understand the motives of this woman aka the plant seller behind spreading the dreadful plague in Korea. Maybe she was working for the Ming Dynasty and her aim is to make the koreans weak so that the chinese can conquer them. Maybe she was a sadist who enjoyed seeing others in torture. Only season 3 can clarify this for us. We’ll also get to see how the worm affects the undead prince’s brain. This is because not all the parasites had died when the young prince was submerged in water. Even after spending 7 years of his life, Seobi wasn’t able to find a proper cure to the undead plague. And although Cho Beom-Pal is left with all of Seobi’s knowledge incase of another outbreak, he might have to work harder to overcome the plague. This is because Seobi’s research is incomplete. Talking about season three synopsis writer Kim Eun-hee said the following statement, “Season one told the story of hunger and season two told the story of blood. If Netflix agrees, I want season three to tell the story of resentment. Season two brought attention to the concept of ‘temperature’ and I think if the story were to travel north, the different ecosystems in the North would act as a hint.” This along with the great cinematography that season 3 has to offer, we believe that it will overall surpass all our expectations and will be the best season out of all the seasons of Kingdom. Many members of kingdom season 2 wont be returning. This is because they had fallen prey to the undead plague. Moreover, since season 3 hasnt been renewed yet, we do not have the official list of all the new cast members that will be joining. However, the Kingdom’s special mega episode Kingdom: Ashin of the North is here. So, viewers can enjoy it until any news regarding season 3 comes.
How many episodes will kingdom season 3 have?
Kingdom Season 3 will probably have only six episodes. However, we are hoping that Netflix renews the show with more episodes as it would be great to see more of the zombie world.
